'Apex Legends' introduces new gameplay elements that showcase teamwork - something the typical battle royale game lacks. With unique characters and abilities, each match feels quick and strategic. However, it is hindered by confounding controls and a lack of motivation to level up. Despite that, this is definitely a contender against similar games.
There’s no doubt that the National Football League (NFL) is the leader in all of the United States and world in american football. Bringing in $13 billion a year, the league is not only the biggest money maker in the country, but the world.
The best thing about 'Buoys' is that it’s only 31 minutes long.
On this week's episode we are discussing the loved and hated topic that is known as romantic movies. With Valentine's Day being a great day to dive into the world of love and romance, what better time to bring up these movies?
“I love you” is a term I have said the most to people who aren’t my romantic partner. Ever since I was a child these words have referred to my friends, my family and even my roommate. Yet as I got older I learned that these habits are almost always overshadowed by a completely different context: romance.
Breath in for four counts, hold for four counts and exhale for four counts. Clench your toes and relax. Clench your teeth and relax. Clench your fists and relax. Remember to stay still and breathe slowly. Close your eyes and picture a moment that makes you happy, a concert that changed your life or a person you love. This helps me cope. This is how I get through the day in one piece. But it does not stop the panic attacks from happening.
I am currently in a state of becoming. I am moving toward a better me.
‘Velvet Buzzsaw’ follows in the footsteps of Gilroy’s 'Nightcrawler' by being a critique. It may fall short of the aforementioned film, but it is still a unique horror film that stands out from its competition.
‘thank u, next’ does not have the extravagant, larger-than-life pop mammoths that her previous album brought to the table; there is no “Into You”, “breathin”, or “Love Me Harder”. However, not only is this Grande’s most consistent record yet, it is her strongest statement as an artist that is much more than just a collection of songs.
If the "Grateful Dead" arc’s main falling is that it dragged on for too long, then “Baby Face” suffers from the exact opposite problem of feeling too rushed.
Overall, “The Grateful Dead, Part 2” was full of plot holes and unanswered questions which can leave viewers upset. The voice acting for Pesci and the music certainly helped this be a more positive episode though, but we can’t ignore the amount of plot holes that don’t add up.
‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part’ manages to redo the impossible and craft a worthy follow-up to one of the most memorable features of the last decade.
'Life is Strange 2: Episode 2' is a beautiful continuation of Sean and Daniel’s story. The brothers’ relationships with each other and with other characters in their world are fleshed out very well, but major technical issues take the player out of the story.
‘Kingdom Hearts III’ is a beautiful game from start to finish. The characters experience growth from start to finish and the player finally gets answers to almost everything.
'Polar' is a movie that is trying to ride off the coattails of the better-made action films like 'John Wick.' The visual aesthetic and music, solid acting, and occasional well-done action scenes cannot make up for the lackluster plot and underdeveloped characters. The movie is worth a watch on Netflix, but there other, better action films out there to watch.
In the past few weeks and days, I have looked at the recent government shutdown, the division it has caused and I can’t help but notice the blatant disregard for facts, logic and reality. I am not a fan of President Trump, but this goes far beyond that. This goes for his supporters.
I watched this year’s Super Bowl. I saw New England’s defense dominate the entirety of the game. I saw Julian Edelman become the only bright spot in either offense. I saw the horrible halftime show. I saw Los Angeles punt on nine of its 12 possessions. I saw Bill Belichick and Tom Brady win their sixth ring together. What I didn’t see was the team that most deserved to be playing on the NFL’s biggest stage: the New Orleans Saints.
I have experienced both fat and skinny shaming, and both are equally damaging.
Trigger Warning: On this week’s episode, we delve into the life and career of controversial filmmaker Roman Polanski. Using his film Repulsion as a catalyst for discussion, the team discusses the ethics of watching controversial films and attempts to answer the age-old question: Is it okay to like movies made by bad people?
