‘Knives Out’ is an enormous win for Rian Johnson. While the first act is a bit slow and some of the humor and modern-day aspects don’t work, the gradually escalating story, marvelous cast, and unconventional tone more than make up for those issues.
Even with its tough subject matter, 'Jojo Rabbit' is able to create clever and risky humor.

But there’s also unprecedented elevation of her craft featured all across the record. The character that Lana has crafted across her discography has never felt so fleshed out, emotionally potent, or real before.
