Red Cross Cardinals work to connect Ball State, Muncie through outreach programs

A new group on campus, a subunit of the local Red Cross chapter, is one of the first of its kind according to its president. The Red Cross Cardinals (RCC) is working to connect students with the community through activities and programs. Founder and President Marina Carini, a senior health science major, formed the group after volunteering with the Muncie Red Cross.

Rooster Teeth's 'LAZER TEAM' to premier worldwide through YouTube Red

Rooster Teeth announced on October 21, through a press release, that their crowdfunded sci-fi comedy film LAZER TEAM will be available through the recently unveiled YouTube Red service in 2016 [link to our story about YouTube Red]. While there is still no release date for either the YouTube Red launch or the theatrical premier, this will allow fans from all over the world to enjoy the film. Matt Hullum, Rooster Teeth co-founder and CEO, had this to say about the announcement: "Rooster Teeth is thrilled to partner with YouTube to bring LAZER TEAM to this exciting new platform.

YouTube launching subscription based service

YouTube has revealed its new subscription based service, YouTube Red. On YouTube's official blog, it says, “For years, YouTube’s fans have been telling us they want more—more choice when watching their favorite content, more ways to support their favorite creators and, above all, the option to watch their favorite videos uninterrupted.” Set to launch on October 28, YouTube claims the service will give “fans exactly what they want.” For a $9.99 monthly subscription, YouTube Red allows viewers to watch YouTube videos free of advertisements, save videos offline to phones or tablets and play videos in the background.
