Colleagues create historical photo book for Ball State centennial

To celebrate Ball State’s centennial milestone, co-authors Bruce Geelhoed, Michael Szajewski and Brandon Pieczko collaborated on creating “Ball State University,” a photo book emphasizing the significance of students, faculty and Muncie community members with Ball State’s growth throughout its 100-year history.

The Indiana Animal Rights Alliance

The Indiana Animal Rights Alliance (IARA) hosted its first annual Indiana Animal Rights March on Saturday, Sept. 1 at Monument Circle in Indianapolis. The march brought animal rights activists from all over the state and parts of the Midwest to raise awareness about various animal rights issues in Indiana, including animal testing and the consumption of animals for food.


The Ball State women's volleyball team hosted the Ankle Challenge this weekend. Visiting schools included North Dakota State, Northern Iowa and Indiana University. The Cardinals won one of the three matches they played.

Volleyball looking to improve from weekend tournaments

After going 1-2 last weekend in the Active Ankle Challenge, Ball State Volleyball looks to Tuesday where they will take on IUPUI. The Jaguars come off a weekend in Athens, Ohio, for the Ohio University Tournament where they went 0-3.



 A free event located in downtown Muncie to help bring the neighborhoods of Muncie together while providing community engagement, arts and crafts and information about children's classes and volunteer events throughout town. Set up were booths with this information, food and demonstrations for children to understand what being "neighborly" truly means. 

Won't You Be My Neighbor

Rainy weather could not wash out the fun Saturday as the fourth annual Won’t You Be My Neighbor event hosted by WIPB was moved inside the downtown YMCA.



Ball State and Notre Dame's football teams met for the first time in history on Sept. 8, 2018, at Notre Dame Stadium. The Cardinals held their own, but lost 16-24.

Cardinals new defensive unit continues to prove successful

Ball State Football faced a heavy task today in taking on No. 8 Notre Dame. Not only was this the first time both teams have met, but this is the first time in three season that the Cardinals have faced a ranked opponent. While the score may have not favored the Cardinals, the team was able to limit one of the top offenses in college football for the majority of the game.
