For many Ball State students not traveling for Spring Break, there aren’t any warm and sandy beaches in the near future. Thankfully, here in Muncie, there are some things students can do to get that relaxing Spring Break all Cardinals deserve.
Ball State women's basketball managed to erase a 12-point deficit to come back and win 76-68 against visiting Mid-American Conference West Division rival Northern Illinois. While senior guard Nathalie Fontaine took the spotlight with her 40 minutes of play and record-breaking performance, junior center Renee Bennett led the charge to bring the Cardinals back for the victory. Fontaine's last second layup was set up by Bennett, who stepped up to pull away from the Huskies with just a few minutes remaining in the game.
The Ball State men’s volleyball team is ranked eighth in the National Collegiate Athletic Association and will head west for three straight matches after finishing its six-match home stand. The Cardinals (13-3, 7-0) didn't lose in the entire month of February and are on a 10-match winning streak.
