As a member of the Party of Socialism and Liberation in Muncie, Indiana, Mark Elliott gathered with around a dozen other people, held a sign and stood outside of the City Council building in the “Unite Against Police Brutality” protest Feb. 5. The two most prevalent signs at the protest read “Justice for Tyre Nichols. Jail Killer Cops!” and “The people demand: End Police Terror.”

Though only one public school corporation in Delaware County’s meals are free to all students after the pandemic, the economic climate still makes it necessary for some families. Two parents of children in the Delaware Community School Corporation explain why there may always be a need for free meals in public schools.
As the walls of the original stadium were knocked down, the school is making sure the Bearcat Pride will still stand. Many alumni are remembering their time at the stadium and how it was like a second home.
“We are continuing to work toward accepting Ball State Dining payments as an option and to watch for additional information in the near future,” Adkins said.

The Ball State Student Government Association Treasurer Mamed Ramazanli was censured due to not fulfilling his duties. Those duties included not giving executive reports, not providing budgets and not having good communication with senators.
Representatives from the Ball State University Honors College Diversity Project collaborated with the Inclusive Excellence Series to host a Disability Pride awareness event. The event, hosted by diversity fellows from the organization, included lectures from guest speakers within the mental health and disability fields.
“The sad thing is though, because of the weather and COVID, the contractors have fallen behind about a month. So we should have been back open about the first of the month. So right now, we are just kind of in limbo,” Edwards said.
