Muncie OUTreach, Delaware County’s LGBTQ youth group, organized Muncie Pride for a second year at Canan Commons Park on Saturday. The festival was 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Director of Public Safety and Chief of University Police Jim Duckham officially retired Aug. 31 after more than 30 years in law enforcement, including over nine years with Ball State. The search to fill the position has already begun and is expected to be concluded by October, according to Vice President of Student Affairs Ro-Anne Royer Engle.

The project will renovate the Architecture Building, University Theater, the Arts and Communication Building and the Hargreaves Music Building. These buildings’ fire safety systems, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, electrical, and plumbing will be updated.

The Ball State University Student Government Association (SGA) held its annual inauguration April 19, and swore in Joseph Gassensmith and Monet Lindstrand as president and vice president, respectively, for the 2023-24 academic year. The inauguration also saw Senate and Cabinet awards.
