by Graham Taylor As if the wait hasn't been long enough, Persona 5 has been delayed yet again. The new official release date of April 4, 2017 was announced today, and while it may be a little disheartening for fans, there is still a silver lining. The game will include Japanese dubbing as an option. The base game will ship with just the English dub, the Japanese audio will be available for download via the PlayStation Store for free. This will be available for both PS3 and PS4 versions of the game. While Atlus historically isn't known for including dual audio in its games, it is nice to know that they have heard their fans, and will include it this time. In an effort to soften the blow, PlayStation announced a few small surprises in an official blog post. First, a playable demo of the game would be available at the PlayStation Experience from December 3-4. Second, a limited time Persona 5 PS4 theme was released, though only for 24 hours. Persona 5 released in Japan earlier this year in September to critical reception, making the wait that much more frustrating. But with all the delays, hopefully a well-polished game will be waiting for us at the beginning if April. Source: PlayStation Blog Image: Play Asia
by Lucas Miller Fans of Naughty Dog who also happen to own the recently-released PS4 Pro have a lot to look forward to playing the latest releases from the studio. The studio announced that two of their most popular titles, The Last of Us Remastered and Uncharted 4, will be receiving day one PS4 Pro support. The enhancements include an increased resolution that allows for “more detail in the textures” along with “smoother, sharper edges that better distinguish characters, effects, and the environment.” Players will also be able to play The Last of Us Remastered at 60 frames-per-second, up from 30. Both games will also offer HDR support, which will “drastically [expand] the range of brightness in both games.” The HDR support is also coming to the original PS4 versions of both games, so players who haven’t made the jump to the new console will still reap the benefits. Finally, players will be able to use the games’ photo mode to capture 4K screenshots, as well as stream or capture gameplay at a higher quality. Players will be able to stream gameplay at 1080p and 60 frames-per-second, and capture in-game highlights at 30 frames-per-second. Source: PlayStation Blog Image Source: Prima Games
