Nintendo has announced the North American release date for Bandai-Namco's Pokémon fighting game, Pokkén Tournament. North American players will be able get their hands on the game when it launches for the Wii U on March 18.
The game has been in Japanese arcades for the last year, but the imminent Wii U release marks the first time the game will be available in the United States. Nintendo has also announced that first-run copies of the game will also include an exclusive Shadow Mewtwo Amiibo card. Players will be able to tap the card on the GamePad to instantaneously unlock the Shadow Mewtwo character for play.
