85 percent of UK gamers bought 'Rise of the Tomb Raider'

As reported on Attack of the Fanboy, Chart Track announced that 85 percent of gamers in the UK purchased Rise of the Tomb Raider for the Xbox One and 15 percent bought the Xbox 360 version. Rise of the Tomb Raider faced serious competition this week, with Fallout 4 claiming the number one spot, while Call of Duty Black Ops 3 and FIFA 16 took second and third place, respectively.



'The Park' coming to consoles

Funcom, the developers behind games such as Anarchy Online and Age of Conan, have announced that The Park, the company’s single-player psychological thriller for PC, is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

New ‘Friday the 13th’ pre-alpha gameplay footage

Wrapping up on a very fitting Friday the 13th, and reaching $823,794 out of a goal of $700,000, Gun Media and Illfonic released a video of pre-alpha gameplay for their Friday the 13th game. In the description for the video, it explains that the current assets in the game are only for testing purposes and things will improve as the project moves along. “First Pre-Alpha Gameplay reveal for Friday the 13th: The Game.



StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void sells one million copies in 24 hours

StarCraft II’s new standalone expansion pack , Legacy of the Void, has sold one million copies in the first 24 hours it was released.  This is the second expansion for the game, following Heart of the Swarm. The DLC was released on November 10. It seems this is just the start for Legacy of the Void. Blizzard announced at Blizzcon last weekend that the expansion will come along with single-player story mission packs called Nova Covert Ops. There is also a possibility that StarCraft III will come out.



'Fallout 4' continues to break numerous records

It’s no surprise that Fallout 4 is breaking records. In fact Bethesda Softworks confirmed that the popular post-apocalyptic game now holds the title of the most viewed game launch of the year on Twitch. Bethesda never revealed the exact numbers of views, but at least more than 240,000 views checked in on Twitch apps the day the game came out. Twitch wasn’t the only records that Fallout broke.


'Rocket League' dev hints at Xbox One release

The Rocket League team from Psyonix hasn’t made any major moves to platforms outside of PlayStation 4 and Steam, but a recent interview on the Red Bull website has some people speculating that the game will be announced for release before the end of the year. Psyonix CEO and studio director Dave Hagewood responded to a question in the Red Bull interview about a possible release of Rocket League for Xbox One.
