Ball State's Residence Hall Association hosted a competition today to see which residence hall had the skill to be Ball State's next "Iron Chef."

Ball State sororities and fraternities are competing in a penny war in efforts to raise money during Greek Week. The penny war relates to Greek Week’s ’90s theme as many students may remember the fundraiser from grade school.

Gov. Pence announces state support for training hotel in Muncie

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence announced state support today for a training institute and teaching hotel in Muncie. Pence met to talk about the collaborative project with Muncie Mayor Dennis Tyler and officials from The Arc of Indiana, a statewide advocacy group for people with disabilities. The project is first of its kind and will offer post-secondary education opportunities for people with disabilities.

BSUDM doubled single-day fundraiser goal

Members of Ball State University Dance Marathon doubled their goal during a fundraiser Tuesday. The group, which raises money to donate to Riley Hospital for Children, raised $15,090.03 in 24 hours. During the fundraising event, the Facebook page for the organization posted videos every hour that showed people who have benefited from the services of Riley Hospital.

Members of Alpha Tau Omega and Sigma Kappa were at the scramble light today to spread some valentines day greetings. The students were handing out flowers and candy to passing by students.


The university program board threw a flash karaoke event Wednesday in the atrium to raise awareness about the organization. Students could sing for a chance to win a prize in a raffle. Prizes included a "Pitch Perfect" dvd, an iHome and a Beyonce CD.
