Butler student combines love of theatre, sustainability for thesis

When Julia Levine, a senior at Butler University, had the opportunity to create anything she wanted for her senior honors thesis project, she decided to combine two of her greatest passions: theater and sustainability.The result was “Gaia,” a short eco-theater play that makes audiences think about how their everyday actions contribute to the world as a whole.Levine will share the play and its message with fellow college students from throughout Indiana at the third annual EcoSummit on Nov.

SOCCER: Team looks to improve on runner-up finish last season

Last weekend, Ball State clinched a spot in the Mid-American Conference tournament and now have one more regular season match before the tournament starts on Nov. 2. This is the fourth consecutive season that coach Craig Roberts’ squad has made it to the tournament and last year's team had the best finish in school history, making it all the way to the MAC championship match.

Ball State increasing health care rates and coverage

Ball State faculty will get an option for short-term disability benefits in case of sudden accidents, as part of a new healthcare policy next year. However, they can also expect health care premiums to increase.

Convicted Purdue shooter, Cody Cousins, found dead Tuesday night

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) ? An Indiana man who fatally stabbed and shot a fellow Purdue University student earlier this year has been found dead from an apparent suicide in his prison cell, state correction officials said Wednesday.The Indiana Department of Correction said 24-year-old Cody Cousins was pronounced dead about 30 minutes after being found unresponsive Tuesday night at the Indiana State Prison with self-inflicted lacerations to his neck and arms.Investigators said the Warsaw, Indiana, man entered a classroom filled with students on the West Lafayette campus Jan.

After the 35-21 victory on Saturday against Akron, the Ball State football team chalked up their second consecutive win.This team is far from what it was a couple weeks ago, head coach, Pete Lembo, has completely revamped his young squad to get back to winning ways.
