June Week 2: Murder, Movies, and Music

The second week of June is looking to be action-packed and full of fun for those looking to get out and do something! Monday’s activity appeals to those who enjoy true crime documentaries and want to put their skills to the test, while the rest of the week hits on many different interests like; gardening, movie watching, and Muncie’s Juneteenth celebration. You won’t want to miss this week’s packed schedule!

Murder Mystery Detective Experience

Summary: Put your detective skills to the test in this interactive audio mystery adventure! Choose between a downtown walking route or a driving path around the city as you visit 10 marked locations. At each stop, you'll listen to clues, gather evidence, and work to solve the case. Perfect for solo players, pairs, or groups, this self-guided experience challenges your sleuthing abilities and ends with an arrest warrant and performance score. Step into the story and help save your city!

Horticulture Volunteer Day 

Summary: Join the Minnetrista horticulture for a special volunteer day to learn about and help maintain their beautiful gardens! Volunteers will have the opportunity to server while expanding their knowledge alongside our professional staff.

Movie Night: To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar

Summary: Join the Muncie Public Library for the 1995 movie “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar” (PG-13) Three drag queens travel cross-country until their car breaks down, leaving them stranded in a small town.

Muncie Tree Trails Music Series: Harlem Gospel Travelers

Summary: The Muncie Three Trails Music Series is a non-profit partnership between MDDP, MuncieArts, and Rick Zeigler, series founder and organizer. The mission of the series is to bring critically acclaimed, national recording artists to perform free concerts at Canan Commons, Muncie’s premier outdoor performance venue, located in the heart of Downtown Muncie.
