2022 Juneteenth Celebration in McCulloch Park

June 18, 2022, from 3-9 p.m. at McCulloch Park in Muncie, Indiana, a Juneteenth celebration was held. Juneteenth celebrates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and is celebrated June 19, among other days.

With an exotic animal show, henna tattoos, ice sculpting and musical performances, The Amazing Taste draws in more than 2,000 visitors each year and features an array of international cultural displays, performances and foods.

The best of all fall foods came together at a Sunday morning brunch for Minnetrista's annual Flavors of Fall event. Four chefs from the American Culinary Association each prepared their own special autumn treat, informing the audience about preparation techniques and helpful cooking tips.

Learning the fine art of fly tying

A stream running through a thick forest churns quietly. Small waves hit large rocks and burst into a mist. It's a sunny day and the water is clear, revealing all the trout hunting for food. Then, something catches one fish's attention – an insect on the surface – and it moves toward it. The bug dances back and forth on the water, and in a swift motion the trout darts up for the kill.

Remembering Matthew Shepard

Last night, a group of students marched down McKinley Avenue with lit candles in memory of Matthew Shepard and hoped that it will have an effect on how the world views the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transsexual community. The members of Spectrum led the march, after the play "The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later," from Pruis Hall to the University Green where they held the Matthew Shepard Vigil.
