Kitchel named MAC West Offensive Player of the Week

After the best statistical weekend in her career, redshirt junior outside attacker, Mackenzie Kitchel was awarded with the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career.

The college student's guide to birth control

College students are having sex. The amount of 18-24 year-olds who reported doing “it” in the past 12 months is high —about 75 percent, according to a 2014 survey from the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy. When it comes to birth control, 94 percent of 18-29 year-olds are confident they know how to prevent unplanned pregnancies.

Former Cardinals face-off in NFL matchup

In Oct. 26's Nation Football League action the Indianapolis Colts faced off against the New Orleans Saints in a matchup that had two former Cardinals on the same field for the first time since playing at Ball State.

Defense shows signs of improvement in loss

The Achilles' heel for Ball State thus far has been the inconsistency of the defense. This season, the Cardinals are allowing 484 yards per game to opposing offenses, which ranks 11th in the Mid-American Conference.
