Baseball America named Ball State University center fielder Jeremy Hazelbaker a third-team All-American on Monday.
Hazelbaker was drafted in the fourth round of last week's MLB First-Year Player Draft by the Boston Red Sox and is the 13th All-American in Ball State's program history. He batted .429 and set the Cardinals' on-base percentage record, with a .550 mark.
Ohio University outfielder Marc Krauss, the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year, was the only other MAC player honored. Krauss was named to the first team.
Hazelbaker is the first Cardinal to make an All-American team since Brad Miller in 2006 and the first to make a Baseball America team since Brad Snyder was a first teamer in 2003.
