Ball State track and field wins pair of individual conference titles

Ball State track and field won its first individual conference championship in five years when sophomores Peyton Stewart and Regan Lewis were victorious in their events on Saturday afternoon. Stewart won the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.55 seconds, setting a personal record in the process.

The Ball State track and field hosts the only home indoor meet of the season in the Field Sports Buidling on Feb. 17. The Ball State Tune-Up included teams from Fort Wayne, Western Michigan, and Wright State. Kyle Crawford // DN

PREVIEW: Ball State track and field splits up for Gina Relays and Southern Miss Open

This weekend, Ball State track and field will be competing in two separate meets. One is Hillsdale, Michigan, in the Gina Relays and the other meet is the Southern Miss Open in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The sprinters, hurdlers, and sophomore high jumper Regan Lewis will be going to the Southern Miss Open. The distance runners and field athletes will be going to the Gina Relays.
