Athletics faces busy weekend

With the first week of classes underway, three Ball State athletic teams will compete this weekend. Soccer will play at home against Xavier Aug. 26 and Fort Wayne on Aug. 28. Field hockey opens its season with a pair of games in North Carolina against Appalachian State Aug. 26 and Davidson Aug. 28. Women’s volleyball kicks off its season with three games at the Fort Wayne Invitational beginning Aug. 26.

New construction management center prepares students for field

Ball State has opened a center to help prepare construction students for a future in a rapidly expanding field. In April, the university hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Robert G. Hunt Center for Construction Management, a 2,500-square-foot facility designed to replicate the office environment found at major construction management organizations.
