With early morning classes, extracurricular activities and the struggle of balancing a healthy social life, students are often drained mentally and physically. However, when one is feeling down, they can always turn to a little furry friend to help cheer them up.
Spooky season has finally arrived, and with Halloween quickly approaching, Muncie has a lot to offer. Here are 10 ways to make October a little creepier:
Weather Forecaster Jordan Verdeyen brings you your overview of this weeks cooler fall weather.
In what head coach Mike Neu described as "a disappointing day", Ball State Football suffered its fifth loss of the season to a conference dark horse in Eastern Michigan, 42-20. Through 60 minutes of play, the Eagles capitalized on cracks in the foundation of the Cardinals play.
When Mathias Miles was growing up, his family sometimes used food pantries. Now, as a volunteer in Cardinal Kitchen, the sophomore telecommunications major is paying back the favor.
Coming into the Louisville Invitational, Ball State Men’s Tennis freshman Danilo Kovacevic had only won one singles invite. This weekend, he was a singles champion once again.
In its final road game of the season, Ball State Field Hockey (2-14, 2-3 MAC) fell to No. 17 Northwestern (9-9, 3-5 Big Ten) by a score of 6-1.
Ball State Soccer (11-3-2, MAC 7-2-1) won their final road game of the regular season against Eastern Michigan (8-10, MAC 3-6) on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals won 1-0 at Scicluna Field, making it six straight conference wins for the Cardinals.
After a tough loss on Friday against Miami (OH), Ball State (17-6, 8-2 MAC) finds redemption with a victory over another top MAC contender in Bowling Green (14-9, 8-2 MAC).
‘From Normal to Extraordinary: Ball State’s First Century’ was a struggle to sit through and even more of a struggle to evaluate. Despite slick production, excellent music, and strong research, the film suffers from a lack of a strong narrative backbone.
‘When Jeff Tried to Save the World’ is a fascinating character study set against a backdrop of faded neon and gutter-balls. The cinematography and set design is humble, yet charming, and the ensemble cast absolutely knocks it out of the park. Despite being rooted heavily in a nostalgia (of sorts) for the bowling alley of yesteryear, this film couldn’t be more relevant for our generation and the one before it. No matter how many quarters this one eats, Jeff is worth the price to play.
Eastern Michigan (4-4, 2-3 MAC) came into Scheumann Stadium and put an end to Ball State’s (3-5, 2-2 MAC) Homecoming celebration, defeating the Cardinals 42-20.
Watch the community celebrate homecoming with a week full of traditions and events.
'Starlink: Battle for Atlas' can be confusing and frustrating at points, but it's wonderful overall. It’s fun to play and doesn’t get boring because of how much there is to do.
