The Board of Trustees chairman opened Friday’s meeting by declaring there is “no scandal, no other shoe going to drop, no financial crisis, no emergency going to be revealed next week” regarding the resignation of President Paul W. Ferguson.

Sexual assault prevention and awareness training formerly reserved for university employees is now mandatory for student employees as well. The Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act requires institutions of higher learning take a course called, “Bridges: Building a Supportive Community,” which trains employees how to handle and prevent rape, domestic and dating violence, sexual assault and stalking.
