Changes to the Indiana Lifeline Law could expand caller immunity coverage to those who report offenses including drug overdoses and sexual assault. On Feb. 26, the House passed the changes, Senate Bill 227, unanimously with an amendment. The bill will return to Senate.

The Ball State men’s basketball team lost its 23rd game of the season Tuesday night. It fell to Eastern Michigan, 58-72.

One winning game didn’t change the tone of an entire year. The Ball State men’s basketball team will still finish the 2013-14 season with no more than six victories.
University Police Department say it will be prepared for Mardi Gras, though there will be no extra officers on duty tonight. Gene Burton, chief of police, said UPD would do everything in its power to keep Ball State and the surrounding area safe. “There are no worries,” he said.

The Associated Press reported that 146,000 IU students’ information was accessible to the public last week. The university said there was no evidence that anyone had seen the student data while it was public.
