Ball State begins looking for new student trustee

2015 marks the year where Ball State’s highest governing body will seek a new student member to serve for two years. The search for a new student representative on the Ball State Board of Trustees begins with a candidate informational forum at 6 p.m.

Junior earns conference awards

After the Ball State softball team's 3-1 weekend at the Belmont/Lipscomb Music City Classic, junior Sami Cowger earned two weekly awards for her work on offense and on the mound.

Students use 84 percent of meal swipes

Despite Ball State's different meal plans, students use only 84 percent of their meal swipes, the director of Campus Dining Services said. Jon Lewis said if students did use all of their $8.20 meal swipes, Dining Services would have to raise their prices on meal plans.

T-shaped backpack required by theatre and dance department

Gardy Gilbert has a blackboard account and a student I.D., but unlike some of his peers, he also needs a special backpack designed to help spine alignment. Gilbert is a freshman acting option major in Ball State’s Department of Theatre and Dance. All performance majors are required to buy a BackTpack, a T-shaped backpack that features two saddle style bags on either side.
