Sylwia Hodorek started Meditation at the Museum during the fall semester. Each session has a different theme, but Hodorek said she hopes faculty and staff can leave each session with methods for managing stress, balancing their lives and enjoying the present.

In June 2014, Abbas Jammali was on his way to the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad to collect his visa and passport to attend Ball State. “When I was going over [to the embassy], I saw ISIS killing Iraqi soldiers, behead them in front of me,” he said. This is the Iraq he left behind.

Ball State falls to Kent State, losing 11th straight game

Junior Bo Calhoun’s career-high 18 points wasn’t enough to prevent the Ball State men's basketball team from losing to Kent State, 58-53. Despite dropping its 11th consecutive game, Ball State head coach James Whitford remains focused on the process.  “The feedback for us is the process,” Whitford said.

Freshman shares personal connection with Dance Marathon cause

Freshman Morgan Polizzi has collected $2,455 of the $4,536 raised by the Riley Relations Committee for Dance Marathon this year. Her reason hits a little closer to home than most. In August of 2013, the beginning of Polizzi’s senior year at Carmel High School, her world changed completely. Her younger brother Jack was diagnosed with Leukemia.

During the Student Government Association's full slate debate Tuesday night,  Atlas’s point of Pothole of the Month was challenged the most by the other slates, Momentum and Cardinal Direction. Atlas was asked to explain if they had fixed any potholes yet and what they anticipate to be their biggest challenge.
