Ball State football had five players win All Mid-American Conference accolades despite the team's 3-9 end of season record. Junior linebacker Sean Wiggins and red-shirt junior defensive lineman Joshua Posley both received first team accolades. Wiggins finished second on the team and 14th in the MAC with 94 tackles during his first season as a starter. Posley played his first two seasons in Cincinnati, before transferring to Ball State. He had a team-high 9.0 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks on the season. Posley also led the team in quarterback hurries, with six, and forced fumbles, with two.
