Week in review: May 7

While school has ended for the summer, the stories keep coming. Here’s a look at the top five stories from this week you don’t want to miss:

‘My Hero Academia’ Season 3, Episode 5: “Drive It Home, Iron Fist!!!”

This episode mainly focused on the action of a few fights with the  classmates given permission to go against the law and fight for their  lives, adding emotion to the suspense. The few highlighted fights showed  some interesting villains and their quirks, while showing how some  students struggle to fight against a real-threat. It’s not easy, and  this episode is sure to remind the viewer of that with each second. The  plot of the story arc progresses a lot in this episode, but the overall  storyline of the show is not impacted that much.

In Indiana, Trump urges GOP to mobilize for 2018 midterms

ELKHART, Ind. (AP) — Embracing the role of party leader, President Donald Trump issued a stern warning Thursday that Democrats would disrupt the economic progress of his administration as he implored fellow Republicans to mobilize behind a slate of Indiana candidates.

‘My Hero Academia’ Season 3, Episode 4: “My Hero”

The episode fulfills so many needs the season has been leading up to.  Overall, the episode was carefully crafted with beautiful animation and a  great use of a soft piano to really pull on the heartstrings. This is  definitely the episode to not miss.

Nintendo Labo: Technical Marvel or Weird Gimmick?

Overall, the Nintendo Labo is definitely a weird piece of technology  that has yet to find its exact place in the gaming audience. The game  shines brightest when people work together to create each toy.  Otherwise, it can feel pretty disappointing and lonely. Despite the  exhausting moments of the setup, there are unique and interesting ways  to create and play.

“Avengers Infinity War”: AKA ‘Thanos: The Movie’

This is movie is for everyone who has followed the MCU. However, it’s  possible to enjoy the film without seeing every single Marvel film. The  important movies to see are Thor: Ragnarok, Doctor Strange, Captain  America: Civil War, and Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2. While this may  seem like a massive cliffhanger, the story is actually complete from  Thanos’ perspective. Despite all of its flaws, the movie ultimately  succeeds and does the unthinkable; killing Spider-Man.
