Muncie bookstore plans to reopen after renovation

“The sad thing is though, because of the weather and COVID, the contractors have fallen behind about a month. So we should have been back open about the first of the month. So right now, we are just kind of in limbo,” Edwards said.

Trapped in the Fetters of Society: Our individualism should trump obligations

Based on my own experience, it isn’t uncommon that through perception, we become a direct reflection of everything before us and around us. Whether it be through generational origins or conditions, we aren't viewed as an individualistic self but instead a notion generated by others — possibly before our own lives have even begun.

Ball State fraternity sweethearts discuss their roles

Sigma Chi fraternity brothers stand in the formal room, waiting for a special girl to arrive. A white rose, the fraternity’s flower, is handed to her as the brothers serenade her with their sweetheart song and welcome her into the fraternity. She is now their sweetheart.

Ball State uses momentum swings to down Louisville 4-3

Ball State (2-1) was ready to go from the first serve in its victory over Louisville Jan. 28. Ball State dominated the doubles matches. Third-year Masha Polishchuk and fourth-year Jessica Braun got singles action started, winning each of their singles matches 6-3, 6-1. They jumped out to a 3-0 lead. But if they wanted to win, they were going to have to earn it.

Five gym etiquette rules to follow when working out

With 52 percent of Americans’ New Year’s resolutions being to exercise more, according to Statistica, and 12 percent of new gym members starting in January, according to RunRepeat, gyms have been filling up. This means new people to fitness centers, some who don’t know the “unwritten rules” of the gym. Here are five rules of gym etiquette for all those visiting the gym.

Burris Swoops Pass Seton Catholic 48-32

The Burris Owls have now won their last four games. Their latest victory was this Friday night’s matchup against the Seton Catholic Cardinals. The red-hot Owls defended Ball Gymnasium as they soared past the visitors 48-32. But this win was special for the home team for a few reasons. First, it was homecoming week. Second, this is the same Owls team that started the season 0-8.
