IJM documentary screening sheds light on human trafficking

Yesterday at 6:00 pm I visited the student center to a screening of a sex trafficking documentary hosted by IJM (International Justice Mission). IJM is a global organization that started four years ago to raise awareness for several different causes by putting on events. One of these events is “No Slave November” which happens every year to raise awareness about human trafficking.

Spadafora named women's volleyball first team All-MAC

Senior setter Jenna Spadafora won her second straight First Team All-MAC award after an impressive 2015 regular season campaign. Spadafora has been one of the key reasons Ball State's women's volleyball team clinched the sixth seed in conference tournament with an 8-8 MAC record.

Hibiki Trio combines different instruments, experiences

A flute, viola and harp playing together might seem like an unusual combination, but they blend well when their musicians are as accomplished at their craft as the members of the Hibiki Trio, an ensemble made up of faculty from the School of Music.



Hitachi allows for more accurate multilingual speech recognition

Japanese technology corporation Hitachi Group announced that it has developed a speech signal processing technology that will allow for more accurate multilingual translation in noisy environments. The technology will be able to accurately recognize speech in environments with noise levels up to 70 decibels, or about as loud as the average vacuum cleaner.
