Students share what they remember from 9/11

Fourteen years ago today, terrorists hijacked four planes, flew two into the World Trade Center towers and one into the Pentagon. The fourth crashed in a Pennsylvania field after passengers fought back against the hijackers. It killed almost 3,000 people and injured many more.

At the time, college students would have been children—most around ages 4-8. We wanted to see what they remember about that fateful day.
