Bieber receives jabs, apologizes at Comedy Central roast

Justin Bieber continued his stint of humiliation Monday and participated in a Comedy Central Roast. Of course, this is the first time he’s actually seemed conscious of his quest for derision in-between last year’s egging incident and actually agreeing to use the line ''chillin’ by the fire while we’re eatin’ fondue” in one of his hit songs.

Big names including Shaquille O’Neal, Snoop Dogg, Kevin Hart and Martha Stewart attended this week’s roast according to Comedy Central’s website. We can only assume a very confused Stewart showed up with some broth and a crockpot before realizing her honest and totally understandable mistake.

The broadcast included the obvious belieber and ex-girlfriend jokes, but a real surprise came at the end when Bieber apologized.

“I’ve turned a lot of people off the past few years,” he said while people across the world vigorously nodded.

He continued by playing the old, I-became-a-pop-sensation-at-just-twelve-years-old card before offering his audience a solemn vow.

“You have my word – I will not end up broken, pathetic, bitter or sitting on someone else’s roast. I’m at a moment of change. This is a new day,” he said.

Zayn Malik flies home in the midst of One Direction tour

Zayn Malik flew west this week while the rest of his band, One Direction, stayed in the east to continue their world tour Thursday according to the Associated Press.

One Direction’s publicist Simon Jones said that Malik returned to the United Kingdom to recuperate from stress.

His departure from the tour came after the Philippines imposed a $5,000 “weed bond”  in the event that Malik or his band-mate Louis Tomlinson promoted illegal drugs during their stay in the country.

Cheating rumors had also sprung up before his departure.

Malik responded to the rumors about his relationship with fiancé and Little Mix member Perrie Edwards by sending out a passionate tweet.

“I’m 22 years old … I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there’s a lot of jealous f—cks in the world I’m sorry for what it looks like x,” read the tweet.

We don’t want to speak too soon, but those sound like some promising new lyrics to One Direction’s notoriously love centric songs.

The Associated Press reported that it was unclear whether Malik would return to the tour for the band’s three scheduled dates in South Africa.
