A small electrical fire in Noyer Complex caused the evacuation of students Wednesday night.
The alarms went off around 8:30 p.m. The only damage was to a dryer in Howick Hall, said Lt. Chris Thompson from the Muncie Fire Department St. 1.
Whenever there is a business or residence hall fire alarm, all fire trucks in the city are sent to the scene except for one, Thompson said.
Another dryer fire occurred in Noyer Complex in 2005.
