Rebecca Sink-Burris, Libertarian

Former elementary arts teacher with a passion for gardening and landscaping

Supports limited government with a focus on civil liberties

Ran previously as a candidate for the Indiana secretary of state in 2002 and Libertarian candidate for Senate against Evan Bayh in 1998

UNITED STATES REPRESENTATIVE - DISTRICT 6

Mike Pence, Republican

Five-term House Representative; named House Republican Conference Chairman in Nov. 2008

Supports a comprehensive energy plan for America

Supports a reduction in taxes for working families and government bailouts for big corporation

Talmage (TJ) Thompson, Jr., Libertarian

A 26-year-old "average Hoosier" who has worked for the past eight years helping run his family business

Pledges to support Constitutional rights and read every bill he signs

Does not favor military action against another nation

Barry Welsh, Democrat

Has been the pastor at Laurel United Methodist Church in Laurel, Ind., since 1998

Graduated from Ball State in 1981

He opposes the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; instead, he wants to focus on preventing future attacks and dismantling Al Qaeda

Doug Eckerty, Republican

Graduated from Ball State in 1977 with a degree in Business

Pursued a career in real estate investing

Believes his background in business will be one of his major assets as a candidate

Sue Errington, Democrat

Served in the state Senate since 2007; leads green job initiatives and efforts to make health care more accessible for Hoosiers

Involved in Muncie Action Plan; volunteers at several area organizations, including Second Harvest Food Bank

Was the first woman elected to serve in Senate District 26

STATE REPRESENTATIVE- DISTRICT 34

John Tuttle, Republican

Dennis Tyler, Democrat

Has served as state representative since January 2006

A retired Line captain with the Muncie Fire Department, where he served for more than 43 years

Involved with several area organizations, like United Way of Delaware County and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #231 in Muncie

DELAWARE COUNTY SHERIFF

Michael Scroggins, Democrat

Has served as the captain of Delaware County Police Department since 1999

Involved with local organizations like the American Red Cross, Ball State Criminal Justice Department and Habitat for Humanity

Joseph Winkle, Republican

Sergeant on the Muncie Police Department

Served as the city police chief for 12 years
