3 Sunday Springfest headliners move to Doc's

After two days of music, camping and fun, Springfest 2010 canceled its final day of acts Sunday because of financial disputes between Water Bowl owners and festival organizers, Nick Armogida, main organizer for the event, said.

Ten bands were scheduled to play Sunday, and three of those bands — Mike Martin and the Peaceful Revolution; When, Not If; and Great American Taxi — will join together for a last-minute concert at Doc's Music Hall in downtown Muncie at 10 p.m.

Mike Martin, owner of Doc's, said people from Springfest started coming into the bar in the late afternoon. He said Great American Taxi has a huge following, and many fans are coming from the Water Bowl to see the band.

"Great American Taxi is a big band out of Colorado, and they were supposed to be headlining," Martin said. "So we're expecting a couple hundred people."

There will be no cover charge for tonight's show.
