The Ball State University women's golf team is confident and ready to go for the weekend's Cardinal Classic Tournament.
This is the only home tournament that the team will host this season. "Play the way they know they can and shoot the great scores that they are capable of." coach Katherine Mowat said of her expectations of the tournament this weekend.
A quick transition was made when the team returned from Nevada on Wednesday to being back on the course on Thursday and Friday. Ball State finished its season opening tournament in Primm, Nev., in 12th place
Mowat said the overall feeling of the team is excitement to be hosting this tournament. "The competition has definitely stepped up so we have our work cut out for us." Mowat stated.
Mowat said it has a chance to beat every team in the field and that is its goal this year because there are some really talented players to compete against.
