Forum will hear student ideas to stimulate Village business

Business owner Myles Ogea will have a business round-table discussion at 8 p.m. Tuesday at The Bird.

The event is open to all Ball State University students and faculty members. Ogea said the goal of the discussion is to generate concepts for new business opportunities in The Village.

"I want to do something to bring The Village back to life," Ogea said. "There's a misconceived perception of my desire to own the majority of the businesses in that area, but I want people to know this isn't true."

Ogea said he is excited about involving "creative, intelligent, energetic students" in the community's business decisions.

"We have a great entrepreneurship program at Ball State," Ogea said. "It would be great to collaborate members of the architecture program, marketing and advertising programs, interior design students and more to see what happens."

To encourage student participation, Ogea said he will serve 1,000 free wings and free soda to people in attendance.
