A DJ and free Rockstar energy drinks will greet students at Kappa Delta sorority's fourth annual Twister Tournament 6 p.m. Friday in Irving Gym II.
Philanthropy Chairwoman Amanda v said students could register at the door. A team of four costs $20, individuals cost $6 and students can pay $3 to watch the event, she said.
Barrett said the event was started in 2004 as a way to raise money for sorority member Lindsey Arnold's family because Arnold had a rare brain tumor. Arnold died in 2005, Barrett said.
"Her family still comes to the events," she said.
Barrett said proceeds would benefit the American Brain Tumor Association. Prizes also would be given to the overall team winner, the overall individual winner, the organization with the most participants and the overall winner for best costume, she said.
