The last time the Ball State University women's volleyball team won a match was Sept. 29, against the University at Buffalo.
Since then, the Cardinals (3-21, 2-10 Mid-American Conference) have lost eight consecutive matches, the second-worst streak in program history. The worst streak in program history was 13 consecutive losses, which occurred this season from Aug. 25, to Sept. 27.
Ball State will look to break the losing streak today as it plays at IPFW (15-9). The match against the Mastodons is the final non-conference match of the season for the Cardinals.
Ball State is 6-2 all-time against IPFW. Last season the Cardinals beat the Mastodons in Worthen Arena.
The last time the teams played at IPFW, the Mastodons won (30-21, 30-28, 19-30, 30-15). However, Ball State leads the series 3-1 in games played at IPFW.
