The Campus Community Coalition will hand out information about community resources door-to-door to off-campus residents Tuesday.
The purpose of the project is to improve relationships between students who live off campus and permanent residents, Lisa Thomason said.
This is the third year Ball State University has done this, and the group will cover streets such as Neely, Riverside, Bethel and Tillotson avenues, Thomason said.
"We will be knocking on doors hoping to catch people at home," Thomason said. "We hope to talk to people face-to-face."
The volunteers will hand out brochures from Ball State, the city of Muncie and the Landlord Association. The brochures include information about leases, parking, city services and available resources. A Muncie Indiana Transit System guide, recycling information, and a free football ticket will also be included, Thomason said.
About 50 volunteers from different Ball State and community organizations are expected participate, Thomason said.
