Air Jam performers must attend the choreography check from 7:30 to 11 p.m. today in Irving Gym, Room 200C.
Kimberley Jackson, public relations representative for the Homecoming Steering Committee, said the performers will run through their routines, and the steering committee will determine whether they are appropriate and will fit in the allotted time.
Most performances are approved, but some performers are asked to revise their acts, she said. The most common problem is the presence of profanity in their chosen music, she said.
Performers also must attend the technical and dress rehearsal at 7 p.m. Oct. 10 in the John R. Emens Auditorium, she said. The acts will rehearse in full performance attire and will be checked once again for appropriateness, Jackson said.
About 20 acts are expected to perform at the Air Jam competition, she said. The event will be held at 9 p.m. Oct. 11 in Emens Auditorium, she said.
Advance tickets to the event are available until Oct. 9 at the Emens box office for $5, she said. On Oct. 11, ticket prices increase to $7, she said.
"We encourage everyone to get excited and buy their tickets early," Jackson said.
