Ball State University's Kyle Heyne led the baseball team to two victories last week at Wake Forest, earning the Mid-American Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week award.
Heyne earned his first win of the season after pitching 1.1 innings in relief on March 13, including a scoreless ninth inning to lead Ball State to a 7-6 victory.
He played again on the following day, picking up his fourth save of the season in the 6-5 victory.
The junior right-hander also threw in relief in Sunday's 11-7 win over Bowling Green University. He currently has 18 saves for his career, tying him for second place all time at Ball State.
The award is the second for Heyne, who earned the honor last season. It is the first individual honor from the MAC for Ball State this season.
