MUNCIE, IN -- As many of you may know this past week was severe weather preparedness week in Indiana. It is a week to get your severe weather preparations and plans in place before the storms arrive. There are many different things you need to know for severe weather and the WCRD and NewsLink Weather teams took this week to break them down. This included an interview with Muncie Mayor Dennis Tyler to discuss the steps that the city takes to keep its residents ahead of the storm.
Closed signs hang in the windows of what used to be Dill Street and The Locker Room bars. The Village Promenade towers along one side of University Avenue, once home to smaller shops like the Red Bird tequila bar and a Buffalo Wild Wings. Students are seeing The Village drastically transform over the course of just a few years.

Muncie Police Department detectives are working on a case that occurred Wednesday night on Rex Street.
An active meth lab was found in the 1501 E. 29th St. Walmart men's restroom in Muncie Thursday evening, according to a report issued by the Indiana State Police.
