Woman flees scene of crash, leaves car upside down

Muncie Police are looking for a young female who flipped her car near Amazing Joe's and proceeded to run away.

MPD got a call at 8:54 p.m. that a car was upside down on Ace Street behind Amazing Joe's.

A witness told police the driver drove up onto a hill off of the parking lot and hit a boulder and rolled the car over. Then they ran away.

The driver was described as a young white female with brown hair. It is not known if they or anyone else was injured.

Sergeant James Lenox said this situation isn't abnormal.

"It's indicative of someone who is drinking and driving and doesn't want a DUI," he said.

Leaving the scene of a crash is a punishable crime.
