After a 0–3 loss to Delta in their final regular-season match, Wes-Del seniors KyLynn New, Taylor Freeman, and Ansley Draper turn their focus to sectionals with optimism for the team’s future.

The Wes-Del Warriors placed fourth out of four in their pool of the Blue River Valley tournament Sept. 27. The Warriors were missing Senior Taylor Freeman, 3, and had three freshmen playing varsity and had a change in libero for the tournament.

The Warriors dominated in the first set with four aces and six kills, but faltered in the second set. Senior Ansley Draper, 4, said the team felt overconfident after their first set, which led to a lack of communication in the second.
