UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Outside attacker Todd Chamberlain and the No. 7 Ball State University men's volleyball team have a routine before each match. They usually arrive to the arena about 90 minutes before the match starts, go through stretches, practice serving and then practice kills.

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton excited a crowd of more than 3,500 at Muncie Central High School on Friday with talk of cheaper education and health care and bringing more jobs to Indiana. "This is one of the most important elections that we've ever had," Clinton said.

Basketball tourney raises $1,000 for Muncie Mission

Ball State University faculty members and students aided to the Muncie community while playing a few intense, fast-paced basketball games Saturday. The sport administration program raised almost $1,000 for Muncie Mission Ministries during the Kohl's three-on-three basketball tournament at Irving Gym.

MEN'S BASKETBALL: Two freshmen transfer

After a trying 6-24 season for the Ball State University men's basketball team, two freshmen who were recruited by the Cardinals' previous coach have elected to leave the program. Freshmen Deontay Twyman and Rashaun McLemore have decided to attend other schools next season.

WOMEN'S TENNIS: Cards struggle in doubles play

The Ball State University women's tennis team was shut out 7-0 by Mid-American Conference preseason favorite University at Buffalo on Friday before coming back to squeeze by the University of Akron 4-3 Saturday. The Cardinals (8-6, 1-2 MAC) were unable to capitalize on their chances to claim the doubles point early in the match against Buffalo (7-5, 2-1 MAC), who lost to Miami University on Saturday.

Cadets camp out at Atterbury

More than 50 Ball State University students packed up their camping gear and spent four days at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh for ROTC training. The training exercise brought together ROTC students from Ball State, IUPUI, Indiana University, Purdue University and the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology to work together in group situations with people other than their friends.

SOFTBALL: Team splits weekend

The Ball State University softball team came out flat this weekend, leading to a 2-2 record to begin Mid-American Conference play. Ohio University (12-11, 2-2 MAC) swept Ball State (20-16, 2-2 MAC) in a doubleheader Friday, 10-6 and 2-0. The Cardinals then evened out their conference record by sweeping the University of Akron (10-20, 0-4 MAC) Saturday and Sunday, 4-3 and 9-1.

GYMNASTICS: BSU finishes 6th at MAC Championships

The first season of the Nadalie Walsh era for Ball State University gymnastics is in the books as the Cardinals finished sixth in the Mid-American Conference Championship on Saturday. The Cardinals (1-12) turned in a score of 192.100, while host Kent State University won the championship 195.

A crowd of thousands errupted with cheers Friday when presidential candidate Hillary Clinton told her audience she plans to eliminate college debts for all students if she is elected. Clinton spoke during the "Solutions for the American Economy" rally at Muncie Central High School.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Ball State, Penn State move back start time of match

The No. 7 Ball State University men's volleyball team will have to wait a little bit longer before it plays No. 1 Penn State University tonight in University Park, Pa. Originally scheduled to start at 7 p.m. to match was postponed to 8:45 p.m. because of travel complications with Ball State's bus.

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - No. 1 Penn State University swept the No. 7 Ball State University men's volleyball team 30-26, 30-22, 30-17 on Saturday. Penn State outside attacker Matt Anderson had nine kills in game two and has a match-high 14 kills.

With the start of Mid-American Conference play this weekend, the Ball State University softball team is entering some of the most important games of its season. The Cardinals (18-14) will try to get out to a good start in the conference when they play host to Ohio University (10-9) Friday and the University of Akron (10-16) Saturday and Sunday.

Ball State University's sport administration program will have the Kohl's three-on-three basketball tournament for Muncie Mission Ministries on Saturday at Irving Gym. Instructor of physical education David Pierce said the money raised will be used to buy bath towels, pillows and bedding for the mission's new, 92-room facility.
