A crowd of more than 200 spectators gathered in Damon's Grill Tuesday night with their attention focused on four big-screen televisions tuned to CNN. The Ball State University women's volleyball team remains at .500 in Mid-American Conference play after splitting its weekend road matches by defeating Eastern Michigan University and then losing to Central Michigan University. The Cardinals were able to complete a season sweep of Eastern Michigan in Friday night's 3-1 (28-26, 20-25, 25-20, 25-17) victory.
Ball State University students will be holding their breaths Tuesday to find out if the state will turn blue in this year's Presidential Election. The Hoosier state has not voted Democrat since Lyndon Johnson was elected in 1964. Gary Crawley, assistant professor of political science at Ball State, said there is a logical reason for the tight race in the state this year.
