BSU files lawsuit to defend Scheumann

Tommy Conroy n Co-News Editor After almost two football seasons, Ball State University is locked in a custody battle of sorts over Scheumann Stadium with a subcontractor that worked on the renovation. Ball State University sued the excavating company after it filed a mechanic's lien on the stadium.

College Radio on Demand is now meeting their listeners' demands. Listeners throughout Delaware County can tune in to Ball State University's student radio station WCRD, 91.3 FM. For years, WCRD has broadcast from a transmitter site at Muncie Southside High School-more than four miles away from the station.

The win improved the Cardinals' record to 9-0, which is tied with the 1965 season for the best start in program history.

The opponent will be familiar to the Ball State University field hockey team when they begin play in the Mid-American Conference Tournament. The Ball State University football team burst out of its first-half offensive woes, exploding for a 21-0 halftime lead against Northern Illinois University. The Huskies boast the top defense in the Mid-American Conference this season, but Ball State quarterback Nate Davis picked them apart in the first 30 minutes.

Chili and music come together at Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia's annual chili cook-off. The event is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Hargreaves Music Building's Coke Lobby and is open to everyone. Fraternity Historian Jimmy Wingett said his committee wants to make the event larger than it has ever been.
