Students wear empty holsters to protest

Some students are bringing their holsters to campus this week -- but not their guns. This week is the annual Empty Holster Protest week for Students for Concealed Carry, a national organization dedicated to allowing students to use their concealed carry permits on college campuses.

Ball State joins IU, Butler, DePauw against RFRA

Ball State President Paul Ferguson announced his, and the university’s, stance on Indiana's Religious Freedom Restoration Act in a statement Monday. In his statement sent to campus via email, Ferguson said Ball State “will not tolerate discrimination.” Ferguson’s stance follows statements issued Sunday by Indiana, DePauw and Butler university presidents.

Cardinals score season-high 16 runs, earn series win

The Ball State baseball team scored a season-high 16 runs in a 16-8 victory over Buffalo in the rubber match of a three-game series at Ball Diamond.  Center fielder Matt Eppers got the Cardinals on the board first, with a two-RBI single in the second inning.

Controversy continues over religious freedom bill

After Indiana Governor Mike Pence signed the controversial Senate Bill 101 into effect, opponents both locally and nationally continued to voice concern that the law could allow businesses to discriminate, particularly against those in the LGBTQ community.

Cardinals celebrate 4 on Senior Night

The Ball State men's volleyball team held its Senior Night on Saturday, marking the final time the team's four seniors would play in front of the Worthen Arena crowd.

Muncie Gras wrestlers live out dreams

Lights, laughter and alcohol defined Muncie Gras 2015. For its fourteenth year, the event that attracts about 7,000-9,000 attendees entertained its crowds with acts including the Blue Moon Circus, Carenza’s Caravan Belly Dance and Fire and the men of the Extreme Midget Wrestling Federation.
