Track & Field and Cross Country: A running history of success

The Ball State Track & Field and Cross Country teams have been highlighted for its success at conference and national levels. Both programs have held a distinguished honor that is known all over the nation with the team and individuals through out the years performing at an elite level. 


Timothy Wiseman, member of the men's golf team, finished up his junior year at Ball State. He qualified for the 118th U.S Open, making him the first Cardinal to be in the tournament as a college student. Kaiti Sullivan, DN File

Wiseman to lead inexperienced men's golf

Ball State Men’s Golf began its fall qualifying for the upcoming season over the weekend. Having placed second in the Mid-American Conference Championships the past two seasons, this year’s team features a mix of fresh faces and returners.

Cardinals drop home opener to Indiana

Coming off a road loss to Saint Francis, Ball State field hockey (0-2, 0-0 MAC) was back home to take on in-state rival Indiana (1-1, 0-0 Big 10). Two quick goals by the Hoosiers left the Cardinals stunned handing them at 2-0 loss.

VOLLEYBALL

Cardinals rally in fifth game for win over South Alabama

Looking to start off the weekend strong, Ball State Women’s Volleyball (1-0, 0-0 MAC)  snagged a 3-2 win against the South Alabama (0-1, 0-0 Sun Belt)  in the first match of the Dayton Invitational. In a tight match, the Cardinals were able to pull away from the Jaguars in the fifth game to take the match, 3-2.

Young core set to lead women's golf

Ball State Women’s Golf kick’s off their run towards the MAC championships with a total switch from last season. The Cardinals welcome five freshman to the team this season, making up the bulk of the roster.

Ball State football healthy, poised for better year

Ball State football is about a week away from its Aug. 30 home opener against Central Connecticut State. After a disappointing 2-10 (0-8 MAC) 2017 season, the Cardinals are itching to get back on the field to show the rest of the Mid-American Conference last year was not true Ball State football.
