Ball State faculty member wins big on 'Jeopardy!'

If “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek asked one contestant on a handful of summer episodes what university he worked for, his answer would have been, “What is Ball State.”

Ball State men’s tennis has been one of the more successful Mid-American Conference programs throughout its history, and head coach Bill Richards has been an instrumental part of that success.

Stedman Graham, who has built up a long and successful career but is most recognizable for his 32-year partnership with media mogul Oprah Winfrey, graduated from Ball State in 1979 with a master’s degree in education.

New Muncie Community School board selected

Seven individuals were chosen to serve on the Muncie School Board during a Board of Trustees meeting Monday.

On Nov. 20, 1964, 25 architects petitioned the Indiana State Legislative Advisory Commission to consider establishing a state-supported School of Architecture. 


Paul Ferguson served as the 15th president of Ball State University. During his tenure, approval for the $63.5 million Health Professions Building was seen. However, Ferguson resigned just 18 months into his five year contract.
