Muncie MusicFest to feature diverse array of artists

Music genres of all types come together at Muncie MusicFest, and no one knows that better than Andrew Hesik, who is performing at the festival as an electronic dance musician and a member of a band who label themselves as acoustic jibber-jabber.

Cardinals off to strongest start in 8 years

The Ball State soccer team is having the best season start in eight years. The Cardinals are 4-0 in the Mid-American Conference, marking the third time in team history where they reached this feat, the last two times being in 2006 and 2007.

Weekly comedy show serious boon to local funny people

The music faded, lights adjusted and audience members hushed as Elle Cunningham stepped onto a wooden stage to perform comedy for the second time at Be Here Now. She glanced at the folded paper clutched in her hand before looking at the audience and beginning her first joke.


The Ball State soccer team faced Eastern Michigan on Sept. 25 at the Briner Sports Complex. Ball State won 2-1in the Mid-American Conference opener.

Offense leads Ball State to 4-0 start in MAC

The Ball State soccer team is off to a 4-0 start in Mid-American Conference play, and the Cardinals are doing it with offense. The MAC's last undefeated team swept two matches last weekend and extended its winning streak to five matches. Ball State outshot its opponent in all five of those matches

Secondhalf adjustments key for Cardinals' success

Second-half adjustments have been key to the Ball State football team's performance both offensively and defensively this season. Head coach Pete Lembo spoke at his weekly press conference on Oct. 6, touching on the team's performance against Toledo.

Only 2 students arrested during Homecoming week

Only 2 Ball State students were arrested during this year’s Homecoming week festivities. Indiana Excise Police were not present in Muncie, and the University Police Department made four arrests, none of which were students. However, UPD didn't release the number of citations given during the week.
