Track & field hires assistant coach
By Staff Reports / August 28, 2014Former Ball State’s men’s track and field and cross country head coach Joe Rogers has been named an assistant coach for the women’s track and field and cross country programs. “I am absolutely delighted to come back to Ball State and help [head coach Randy Heisler] with the women's program,” Rogers said in a statement.Rogers’ first stint at the university, which lasted from 1985 until his retirement in 1999, was a successful one.He helped lead the cross country team to the Mid-American Conference Championship in 1987, winning the MAC Coach of the Year.
